Core WordPress is secure. No it’s not “set it & forget it” like a Ron Popeil counter top oven because NOTHING is. It is, however, updated regularly to keep up with new threats, & to generally continue to improve the software. It’s probably updated more than any other software that I use including Windows & Android.
